Crates are wooden boxes that can be found in many places on the Far, Far Range. You can open them by smashing them into the ground, or against a wall. They contain a variety of items described below.

Crates randomly spawn in specific spots in the wild. They can also be found in packs of 2 or 3 after you burst a Gordo. The spots are usually slightly hidden in the shadows, in tall grass, or in corners. When trading in the Range Exchange, the resources that you receive are also in a crate.

Crates despawn if not opened. As a result, it is impossible to keep and collect crates, and they should instead be opened upon their discovery.

Range Exchange Crates

Those crates are special, as they immediately open upon hitting the ground, and contain items that you got by trading in the Range Exchange.

Gordo Snare Crates

Crates you get from Gordo Snares will be like crates from the place the original slime comes from (a Crystal Gordo would give you Indigo Quarry crates) and you'll also get a crate that always drops 3-4 Slime Science Resources.

Trivia

  • The contents of crates are only determined upon destruction, rather than upon generation. (Except the crates from Range Exchange)
